VIETNAM issue with wood?

Hi guys,

I can't plant wood with Vietnam with dogma "Medieval faires" as expected...

Do you have the same issue? Or i miss something?

I have not had the problem you are describing. Planting woods follows the same restrictions as it does with other civs (other than being available sooner), so a resource on the tile will prevent planting.

Same here. No resourses on a tile, cannot plant a forest though. Medieval faires are open but the builders simply do not have this option in their disposal( This is frustrating

Is it everywhere you try? Or just one hex? And I think tempest is referring to still-hidden resources where having a woods feature on the tile is not an allowed combo with the hidden resource (although the same is true of a visible resource as well, but that should have been fairly obvious).

Everywhere but when i unlock classical dogma (the same as other civilization), i can plant forest

im pretty sure its a mod, i have the same issue, Faires civic unlocked but no wood planting for workers

Does anyone figured it out how to fix it? I'm having the same issue.
I'm using no mods, I've tried with and without secret society, heroes, apocalipse and so on. The ability to plant woods is not unlocked when I get with medieval faires

maybe its only non-hills? i know seaside resorts dont work on hills even though it makes no mention of it anywhere in-game. a lot of missing info bs like that unfortunately

Sorry. I uninstalled and installed again and now it's working. Not sure why.
I was trying to plant them on grasslands and plains, both hills and non-hills and it wasn't working, but now it is. If I see the problem has come back, I will take a screenshot.

I guess I figure out the problem. I created a new game to see if I could replicate the problem and I can't plant woods on tiles susceptible to flood. I didn't know there was such restriction and ain't sure it was causing the problem before, but it's what makes sense right now.

You've never been able to plant woods on floodplains.

If it was desert floodplains, plains floodplains, or grassland floodplains, sure, that's normal that you're not allowed to plant woods. But on the small offchance that by "tiles susceptible to flood" you meant coastal land that would flood once sea level increases, then it's not OK to be unable to plant woods there. Unless it's desert on the coastline, you can't plant woods on desert tiles of any form.
