No, you get great people when you earn enough great people points. These points are mainly generated by the districts and buildings that correspond to the specific category (e.g. great scientist points are generated by campuses and campus buildings), but can also be gained from other sources such as policy cards and wonders.

Not unless you are suzerain of a city state that generates science from great works and artifacts.

Settle as many cities as possible and build as many high adjacency campuses that you can. Each population gives .5 science per turn, and the adjacency of your campuses are flat yields. More cities means more campuses and campus buildings, which results in more science.

You don't need a campus in every city, but you should be building them in the majority of your cities when going for a science victory. Read the civilopedia entry on campuses specifically the section that lists the adjacency bonuses. You may need to get creative, but the more adjacency you can squeeze out, the better.

As far as traders go, they are pretty powerful as they give you free yields per turn and are pretty cheap to make. Prioritizing harbors and commercial hubs is a good idea for this reason.

If you're asking if science is important for the other victory types, then I would say yes for the most part. You don't need to focus on it as heavily, but culture victory benefits from the 25% tourism boost from computers.

Watch PotatoMcWhiskey's Over explained Arabia game on YouTube. It is super detailed and should help you grasp some of the less intuitive mechanics.

Thanks for ur answer, appreciate that.

For the last quest what I mean is whay is the purpose to gain science point ? Since it doesn't affected with great people ??

And i forget to ask this.

Can we win using every contry with disadventage of something ? For Ex
Norway - harald.
IIRC norways doens,'t effect anything in science, but can i still win against comp ? I know it's unfavorable to use that way (since Im not exploit the the passive from country) but still, can I ?

Science helps you win a science victory and indirectly helps you win a domination victory by giving you stronger units.

Every civ can win every victory condition except Kongo and religious victory. It doesn't matter if a civ has bonuses or not for a victory condition.

I See.
is it to make make research more faster ?
so the more science point we get, the more faster research will ?
is that so ?

Yes, that is how it works.

Imagine each tech/civic as a bucket and your science/culture as a faucet. Every turn you put x science/culture into the bucket. When the bucket is full, you get whatever tech/civic you were working on. The only way to fill the buckets faster is to pour more science/culture into them. Same thing goes for production. More production means the unit/building/wonder/project bucket fills up faster.

To expand on Stormwinds explanation... Go into the tech tree and hover over a tech. That will show you the exact number of science points you need to complete that tech.

Those values can change as the eras progress. I believe as more Civs unlock a tech, the value needed lowers. But I am not sure of the exact specifics on that, and it may be slightly different for each game speed.

You don't have to be suzerian. Your first envoy to a science city-state will start giving you science in your capitol right away even if you don't have the campus yet. In fact, in the early game, meeting a lot of city states and generating a lot of envoys is the best way to get your science, production, culture, gold, and faith up quickly. This strategy pays off even more once you have Medieval Faires, you get one gold for every envoy with a diplomacy card.
