Define Adjacent Cities
Can anyone please do me a simple favor and define adjacent cities? I've looked everywhere. I'm starting to find more and more that the Civilopedia lacks much information... For instance, in the belief "Scripture," it heightens the religious spread from adjacent cities by increasing pressure. Is that referring to cities touching/overlapping? Thanks everyone!

In that case, it means "within passive spread range". It has no precise meaning, it depends on context, but it basically means "within the range of this effect, whatever that might be". As to what the range of passive religious spread, I'm not sure what it is in this game.

I'm not sure if it helps, but when I kill a unit in religious combat it affects cities up to about 10 hexes away from the battle. Maybe that is considered 'adjecent'?

In Civ 5 religious pressure affected Cities 10 tiles away by default, which could be boosted by one of the reformation/follower beliefs, so take whatever you want to think from that.

Thank you all very much for the information. I'm just so used to black-and-white rulings and definitions on most strategy games. That being said, this game is still amazing!
