Gifting a Unit

Ok, maybe I am totally missing it but how do you git a unit to another player? Was this removed for them as well as city states?

I don't think there is a way, the previous option of getting open borders and putting that unit in another civ's territory and then in actions (after pressing +) clicking gift unit, seems to have vanished entirely.

There is no way. There should be a way. Including units and even tech boosts in trades would be nice as well.

Dang, it would be helpful to be able to offload some additional troops onto a city-state that you're Suzerain of in preparation for a war with a neighbouring city.

Yeah, I do miss being able to drop fresh units off on my little allies.

I think if you are suzerain and levy the military of a city state, it might upgrade the city defenses to your current level. Like from field canon to machine gun. Though I could be wrong.
