Hatred of Pericles!
I've really taken a liking to playing as Trajan and leading Rome. I find that going wide and being able to expand quickly allows me to win pretty much any playstyle because I can gobble up the areas for each district (I play on King) However, I hate Pericles. He is a thorn in my side during my attempt to get a religious victory on King. Unwisely, I declared war on him attempting to pillage his holy sites but i cant even reach them! Screw Pericles!

I tried to enlist the help of the warmongering Norweigen leader but even he couldn't reach the damn greeks! Pericles has managed to settle all in and around mountains and to make matters ten times worse he is the suzerin of 6/8 of the city states on the map and keeps using their troops as meat shields. I dont even need to win this damn war! if I could just reach three of his six cities id win a religious victory but at the same time the bastard sends waves of 6-8 missionaries across the sea! any advice how i can stop this menace?

have two three inquisitors at all time sleeping around and in your holy sites, AI is dumb, instead of try convert he will do a theological combat with his apostles. Since they asleep they will heal each turn and even apostles with theological combat bonus will run themselves to death.
If its missionaries, well let em convert when they done use one inquisitor and remove.

Had a game where america was going for religious victory, converted everyone, except me. He lost hundreds if not more religious units on two inquisitors :)

In my current game as England I am in the midst of a long war with Greece (Pericles), strangely no special units from him. He had founded a religion before me, but I used his 2nd Holy Site in Corinth (his 2nd city) to found my own religion after I took Corinth from him. I am still trying to take Athens, but I have some crossbowmen and a siege tower on the way to help out. I am only seeing archers and heavy chariots on his side of the fighting. I am rerally running up the experience on my military units, but I still have not won yet, some Mountains (impassable terrain ) are helping him out and restricting the number of tiles I can use near Athens. London is on a seperate island (Island map) from Athens and Corinth.

Yeah he's situatied behind some mountains and acroos the ocean on my map. My navy was an afterthought prior to this and my ally Kongo is along that coastline so i have to move through there before i can even reach the greeks.

Thanks for the tip! I found running a religion to be so tedious that I ignored the whole feature completely until I read this. I'll try it out in my next game!

I hate Egypt the most. lol, i don't know. She just bugs me.
also the civs i dislike are all the ones who attack City States on sight.
...which happens to include Egypt btw. ...and they call you a warmonger if you take a City State. I hate hypocrisy.

I hate Sumeria the most. When I see that smiling bearded face when he spawns next to me I know I have to brace for the coming 'surprise' war cart spam :p

I love looting his zugurats though! They give a pretty nice science boost early game.

I hate Brazil, because of Pedro's stupid face. He looks like a character from a sub-standard Dreamworks cg movie.
