Information Side Bar gone [Resolved]

As the subject says, I loaded the game today and the side bar which tells you things that happened on AI turns, and tells you about promotions, etc...

I've tried both backspace and delete, which were used in previous versions, but neither worked.

Does anyone know how to get it back?

If you contact a CIV in the diplomacy, you can see recent information for that civ there.

Yes, but how do I get the sidebar back that shows all the recent world actions and pending actions? It would show cities with not enough housing, when a unit had been attacked, when a barbarian was in range of a district/city, etc...

That bar is very important for the last thing especially since it doesn't alert you as it did previously in Civ5.

Have you changed any of the files recently? It could be messed up if so. I would suggest verifying your game files. Right click on the game in your library and the option is there.

Your screenshot does not indicate a problem. The bar you are describing appears on the right side of the screen when there are notifications that need to be given to the player. When there are no notifications, there is no bar. If you continue your game you should find that the bar will appear again when warranted - most likely on the very next turn.

I don't believe that there is any way to turn that bar on or off.

That bar *always* appears at the beginning of a MP game to alert you of other players joining the game. The bar no longer shows up at the beginning, and failed to show once during the multi-hour gaming session despite players sending me diplomatic requests.

No, I had not changed any files since my last session, but I'm validating anyway as I should have done that to begin with to rule it out.

I did the file verification, and six files failed verification. After re-downloading the files the information side bar shows back up now.
