Châteaux?

Playing my first game as Magnificence Cathy now. Can't build any château. I've reinstalled the game, turned down all mods, still can't build any. Black Queen Cathy and Eleanor can both build some though. Is anyone having the same problem, any idea to fix this?

Have you researched the civic Humanism? Are you trying to place it next to a river? I will play test it right now.

Just loaded a game from a few days ago, playing as catherine "magnificence". I'd won previously from later game tourism, and remembered i'd not built a chateau, so I loaded at an earlier save after humanism to see if i could plop a chateau, and i can and i did, next to a river.

OK to not be too obscure and secret so it becomes annoying and far fetched, from Jesus\Bible. (a house divided etc. word for word)
When you´re done building that chateaux de Neuf, or perhaps with some other fancy name since you got help with the building instructions now by a nice fellow gamer, then tea party for all in it, or some other activity to get the party started.
Put up a screenshot here perhaps, i´m one no gamer of this Civlization so i want to see how one looks when finished, as well.

Yes I have researched humanism and have got a bunch of river tiles to fill with chateaux, but nope. The "build a chateau" option appears in the builder's task choices but it's dimmed and clicking on it produces nothing.

I've done a few tests on duel maps with Black Queen Cathy, Magnificence Cathy and Eleanor, starting in the industrial Era. BQ Cathy and Eleanor can build chateaux, but not Magnificence Cathy. :|

are you playing with any map mod, detailed worlds or YnAMP? people were reporting flood plain tiles that do not flood and will not allow dams. maybe the game just isn't recognizing the mod's drawn rivers? that is purely speculation, but it could fit.
