Save during tutorial?

When I was poking around starting my first game, I saw a lot of stuff I didn't understand, figured there must be a bunch of new stuff in this one, so I started a tutorial game. Played for an hour, went to menu to save, no save button. Double-checked a few places, still no save button, figured surely it autosaves then. Exit game, come back the next day, Singleplayer, Load Game... nothing. No Autosaves, no cloud saves. Is it just not possible to save in the tutorial?

I actually replied to this comment because I had the same issue and searched for it in the discussions, so here we are
(edit, I just bought the game yesterday, so if you have any tips for stuff the tutorial didn't cover, let me know).

Kind of short-sighted and miserly of them... Some of us have real lives and jobs to get to and would REALLY not have to go through all the drudgery to get back to where we had progressed. Also love that they explained NOTHING about Amenities, Culture, Housing, or Religion... then proceeded to clobber us with Culture and Religion while bleeding us dry with lack of Amenities and Housing. They should also bring back stacking...
