Can't delete units?
Does anybody know why I can't delete any units?
I keep hitting delete but it won't work. I was able to delete my scout units but I can't delete my swordsmen? Anybody else have this issue?

While the unit is selected, there should be a delete unit button in the unit pane in lower right. If you don't see it, press the + button in that window to see more options.

i think theres a game rule that units must be fully healed before you can delete them. maybe that's the issue.

I think you are right. I wonder if there are some scenarios with special rules on deletion of units as well.

Why? thats just incredibly stupid. Now I have an ironclad which I cant repair because no resource for it and it is just draining upkeep. Should I declare war against a civ just just get rid of it?

nah, eventually it will just die, but it takes so long to happen you will get coal before it dies.

The rule is in fact quite good. Imagine you are fighting a war and are about to lose a unit. If you could just delete it, you could deny the enemy the benefits from killing it, for example when your enemy is Scythian, you could deny him the 30 hp heal and thereby maliciously exploit the game mechanics.

@ Vixxynn: Can't you just trade in some coal?
