His post scared me and I need a safe space, NOW!!!!
And yeah, nuclair fallout is damaging, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ shock.
And can you take your realism complaints someplace else. This is Civ, a series where in past games a Pikeman could take down a tank. Gameplaywise, it's always been weird.
Well, lets start that the human evolution through the ages is too fast in this game. This is unrealistic as hell. And I´ve never seens real-life progress turnbased.
It's almost as if a game about empires that last for 6000 years with leaders that live equally as long, a game where you can build jet fighters without having ever researched wheel, a game where wars can last for hundreds and hundreds of years - as if a game like that might be a tad unrealistic.
Mechanized Infantry and Modern Armor are equal in power, but the tanks are faster and can have promotions that make them stronger against infantry whereas infantry doesn't get anything to make them better against tanks. Other promotions make the units versatile in different ways.
Also, most of your post is about how unrealistic everything is. If your point is a different one, maybe structure your post better.
I suggest you delete all local Civ VI files, format your HD or SSD, get a new monitor and then push it all off the desk. If this doesnt work at first you may have to try it a second time.
It's a nightmare.
Andrew considers himself an AI expert.
He should be fired for this mess.
"Diplomacy will be dynamic, changing as the ages evolve and as the leaders show their character", said Andrew Garrett, an A.I. expert, in an interview with GamesBeat.
“Players need to understand why their AI opponents are making decisions they are,” Garrett said.
"We’ve rewritten the A.I. from the ground up, learning all the lessons that we had from Civilization V, so we know how best to solve some of these problems in military combat and so forth." - Ed Beach
Pretty funny to read now that the game is released.
They haven't got a clue what they are doing.
I agree, I screwed up. Thank you for your post.
I'm gifting you a therapy dog asap!
well i have to say the excessive mocking or trolling againsts the Op is a bit over the top. Yes CIV is not a realisiic game in terms of combat. Some aspects are done for balance. IF earluer units could not damage more sophisticated units at all, then the more advanced player would only end up dominating the weaker AI ( or players) even more.
However I think i partially understand wher hes coming on some aspects of his post. I agree that Aviation in CIv 6 is underwhelming compared to Civ 5.
We no longer have proper Anti tank gunships but a light utiility gunship, and Bombers dont do as much damage as in the last game.
