Check the date of the OP. You're a bit late, I think.
Comet strikes happen in the late game when you have Apocalypse Mode enabled. Once they start falling, one comet will strike each turn, somewhere randomly on the map. If it hits a city, that city is destroyed (even capitals).
Yes, I realize the original thread is a year old, but this question was new.
so. the comets strike its never stop with apocalypse mode = ON ???
