I haven't been able to test the broadcasting station to see if it somehow blocks the ability to build an archeologist. It doesn't sound right though.
And how did the Broadcast Tower get into this conversation? It has absolutely nothing to with archeologists.
You unlock Humanism in the Civics Tree.
You build the Archeological Museum.
You build an Archeologist in that city.
What's so hard about that?
If you built an art museum, no Indiana Jones.
If you see three sets of ruins on the map, build an Archeological Museum. If not, build an Art Museum. If niether option works, build spies and steal what you want. If your spies are captured, build tanks and invade for loot.
1) building broadcast stations does NOT block your ability to build archeologists. Just to make sure I wasn't seeing things I built three broadcast towers before even trying for an archeologist.
2) you can only build ONE archeologist per archeology museum. Once that museum has its archy, you can't build another in that city.
3) you can build multiple archeologists if you have multiple archeology museums. I currently have two on the map with a third one coming in five turns.
4) each archeologist gets to dig three times (at different sites). Convenient considering there are three empty slots in each ardheology museum.
Interestingly, this doesn't mean they can each excavate 3 artifacts. They only vanish once their museum is full. This only comes into play as England. You can have 2 archeologists running around digging up artifacts as fast as they can find them. One of them might only get one artifact, and the other one might get 5. But as soon as the 6th artifact is dug up , BOTH of them vanish. I guess the museum stops funding their digs once it's full.
