I just rebased a Biplane across an ocean last night.
From one city to another.
Then deployed it.
That sounds like an exploit or mod of some kind. Even in civ 5 they had a certain range they could go, even when rebasing. For huge maps you pretty much ALWAYS needed a carrier.
just i had made a bunch thinking i could fly them over he ocean and then couldnt.
if id known of the change id have just made bombers.
fighters are kind of lame now.
It's actually the other way around in this game - Bombers suck.
Fighters are average against units. Bombers just plain suck for anything except cities and even then ships and Siege are better.
fighters are too hard to move around now.
hope we get strategic bombing fighterrs back.
and paratroopers. and maybe engineers that can build runways.
bombers are used against personnel and civilians all the time irl.
Many kinds of bombs - Just as many examples of bombs used to hit people as there are ones for buildings and installations.

Vietnam - Napalm.
