Loosing Envoys
How does an AI Civ, have dozens of envoys in a city state and then suddenly loose them all?
I thought someone has a spy, but I was unaffected and didnt loose any and I was runner up.

However if the city state declares war on you indirectly, (when a civ that is currently suzerain of that state declares war on you) you will not lose any envoys there, making it possible to make peace with them by adding more envoys until yours are equal or more than the current suzerain.

That even gives you a nice historic moment (each and every time you do it!) I always keep envoys ready to be deployed. This is one of the reasons for doing that.
