User Interface disappears
Hello everyone,

Recently whenever I resume or start a new game after a while (I assume it is when another civ is met or a leader wants to talk to me) the UI disappears. I am able to close the game and scroll around regularly but can not control my units or cities. I know this is regular for games using mods when new updates are released. However, I am not using any mods at all. Reinstalling and deleting the C:user/document/my games did ot solve the problem either. Any ideas?

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Base\Assets\UI\LeaderIcon.lua

After digging into the Lua log I saw an error occurred within that file, and after more digging found it was referencing a function that didn't exist.

My theory is that the file was form a previous installation I had of Civ 6 and wasn't cleaned up appropriately when I uninstalled / reinstalled before downloading Gathering Storm.

Do you use any mods? The latest update broke a bunch of mods.

No as I said, I don't use any

I had the same thing happen to me. Somewhere around turn 50 my scout met a new civ, and the UI completely disappeared. I have been using CQUI so the update may have been the issue.

There are definitely reports on Github of CQUI being broken by the latest patch.

I have had the exact same problem as gallag70. I saved at turn 31, verified the files, and re-started the game after 3 files were reloaded. The UI was restored. (It revealed that my warrior had met a new civ). When I advanced the turn the UI disappeared again. I am using mods, but was very careful to check that they were all ? up to date. I may have missed some though. CQUI said that it had been updated to GS. A number of other players have reported problems with it though.

Just happened to me also. Disabled CQUI and loaded the same game and its fine now. At least for me anyway.

thanks!
