I found it very helpful since I found I was generating much more CO2 from coal than I though, and Oil did not generated so much. Since now it influences diplomatic favor gain, and was aiming for that, I started moving all factories to oil. I even had some solar panels done... but I was losing 40% of my favor to CO2. Generated 20 favor per turn but lost 8 to CO2. When I finish moving these I will check how much it changed.
@Teban I have only nuclear reactor (and one or two petrol reactor) and more than 60% of my co2 emission is charcoal. is there a way to know which building/city that emits co2 ?
The main thing I think is Coal Power Plants, building-wise. I can't think of any other building, actually.
But anything that uses Coal will count for this. Check for units that are using Coal for upkeep such as Ironclads. Cursor over your amount of Coal at the top to see how much you are using for upkeep per turn.
Also, building a Railroad uses 1 Coal per tile, but (I believe) only on the turn its placed.
Side Note: It's better to make a new post than to Necro.
