Nobel Peace prize challenge.
Got the Nobel Peace prize challenge through the world congress, figured no prob, i'm amassing a decent amount of diplomatic favor. the goal is just to gain diplomatic favor. but no nation will trade it with me. (i could literally offer to give them everything i have for 1 favor, no takers) but it seems the AI is trading it between themselves cause they are gaining diplomatic favor faster than they should be able to.. especially since the one in the lead is not a suzerain of any city state, and has the same government tier as me.

so basically the AI will gladly trade favor with each other, but not me during the event. i don't know if its because i have a lot of favor allready or if its just the event that has an oversight that says they wont trade with the player, but still trade with each other..

I doubt they're secretly trading. There are other ways to earn Favor. Most commonly from promises. If you have the Nobel competitions, that means Sweden is in the game and they can earn 50 favor each time they get a Great Person.

i think i've found out how he is getting more favour, despite not being suzerain of any city state, he has some lvl 2 alliances, i know lvl 1 alliances give 1 favour / turn, if lvl 2 alliances give more, that might be how he is getting more.

You get +1 DF per alliance per level of the alliance. So if you have a level 3 alliance, you get 3 DF per turn from that single alliance. (I think level 3 is max.) Other sources add to the amount of DF you receive as well (such as a level 3 alliance and level 2 alliance meaning +5 DF per turn).

on my save they trade it for gold. you can only ask for up to 20 diplomatic favor per a single trade. in return, they ask for some coins & about 10 gold for 30 turns but if you offer them 200-250 gold in a single trade, they seem to accept it. but maybe it depends on the difficulty level.
