I play as Rome and have 4 big cities, I converted my coal industry to oil industry but the climate is still rising, how can I stop it? My cities are flooding now!

Try beeline for computer they allow flood barrier to help you with coastal flooding.

Advance until you get non polluting energy like solar wind and geo.
Get flood walls to protect your coastline (though if it's already flooding you're probably too late)
Advance to unlock the Carbon capture, and you can turn your industry over to pulling pollutants out of the atmosphere.

Once the ball starts rolling, there's little you can do to stop it, just slow it down. Especially if another civ catches up and starts burning coal in your place. You just have to plan your games so you advance quickly enough to keep your cities safe, without polluting too much before you get there.

you can turn it off with an xml edit here's how

change this line in DLC\Expansion2\Data\Expansion2_GlobalParameters.xml

<Replace Name="CLIMATE_CHANGE_PERCENT_COASTAL_LOWLANDS" Value="10" />

i set mine Value to 10 put it to 0 and no flooding EVA.

All good advice. I followed Aieonae's advice and went straight at the Computer's technology, built the Flood Barriers and then went back to pick up technologies. Now I'm trying to get out of the Nuclear business, as exploding old reactors will really make a mess out of things. Too many good Builders have given their all for the glory work of decontamination.

You just payed $35 for climate change. why would you avoid the new feature. Pump up the numbers and go all coal and oil power!
