Where do screen shots get saved?

I know f12 takes a screen shot, but where does it save it on the pc?
Ive tried looking in the steam folder, and in my documents without success.

Any help from a knowledgeable colleague would be most appreciated.

It's usually in a really horrible place.. I think the folder on mine is called something like 28653495821 or similar.. I'll go look for that path.

My steam pics are in D:\Steam\userdata\70619256\760\remote\289070 for Civ6.. other games have a different folder number. Pain finding this path.

You should check steam settings so it displays your screenshot folder on your monitor every time you take a picture. There is an option in settings that turns it on but it should have been on by default. In that black box displaying your new screenshots there is a button 'show on disk' or something and that is the folder. You can rightclick that folder and make a desktop shortcut to it if you want to.

Second easier option is in your games list, rightclick on the game name and select 'view screenshots'

You're welcome. If you have a good picture, you can add a caption and upload it to the public steam screenshots for everyone to see.

The actual path is
C:\Users\YOUR_NAME\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Screenshots\
for me.
