Should my friend buy Civilization & Scenario Pack Bundle?

So my friend initially bought just the base game and after playing for awhile he now decides he likes this game and want to buy DLCs to expand the gameplay. However, steam wont allow him to buy the gold edition which has Rise and Fall and all Civ DLCs so now the only choice is to buy Rise and Fall exp and the Civ bundle.

But since the Civ bundle is expansive, I would like to ask if the Civs and Scenario are worth the money? I know it is up to him to decide if he has the money to spare etc. Money is not tight but also not plenty to spend on things for the sake of spending or getting everything, you know what I mean.

He will purchase when the Luna Sales comes. I myself will also buy the gold edition since I dont own it yet. Thank you for reading.

Tell him to put them all on his wish-list and Steam will email him the next time they are on a sale. This happens fairly regularly, so as long as he is still enjoying himself now, keep holding out for a good price.

Btw, let him know the new expansion is on sale on green man gaming (currently at 21% off - was at 25% off for the few weeks prior to now)

If he buys the new expansion he gets all the gameplay that is in Rise & Fall, just not the wonders or civs from that expansion.

Thanks for the tip. He will be getting both Rise and Fall + Gathering Storm. But he is asking if he should get the CIV + Scenario DLC because they are quite expensive even on sale and he is unsure if they are worth it.

Ah right, I see what you are asking now.

I love variety, and having more civs makes each game a bit more random. So in my mind they are worth it at their current sales price. I would certainly try to avoid paying full price!
