Does Espionage/Diplomatic Visibility Provide Information on Trade Deals with Other Civs

Just wondering if it's possible to gain information on a leader's trade agreements with other civilizations using Espionage or Diplomatic Visibility.

I encountered a situation recently where the AI (wisely) had multiple Defensive Pacts in place as a counter-measure against aggression; when I declared war against him my previous allies (alliance had just ended, leaders refused immediate renegotiation) join immediately as well.

I wasn't certain if they had formed Defensive Pacts, so took the gambled and lost. It would have been helpful to know about the Defensive Pact beforehand, but not sure if that's possible.
