Playing Amanitore for the first time
After reading the benefits of the Nubian empire, I decided to give it a try. Especially with their early game archers. Reading the benefits "Mines over bonus and luxury resources provide +2 gold". After seeing the map and quite a few luxury resources I thought gold would be plentiful. Mines I built over silver and mercury did not yield any addition gold, other than what is normal for working the mine. What am I missing here ?

Are you sure that your total + gold didnt get higher? I am not sure that it would appear on the tile as Yields if its added by a bonus or a passive.

Silver is confirmed to be a luxury ressources so I'd say next time you build one, keep an eye on your gold per turn until the next turn to confirm or not, might be a bug.

Just found that Silver says : Silver provides a considerable +3 Gold when worked and up to +3 Production when improved with a Mine. And mercury provides science.

So maybe the +3 gold/+2 science overrides the +2 gold? Unsure. I'll have to make some tests now, I'm curious.

I'm not sure. I started a game as Amanitore to check this out, and her ability is working for me. I founded my first city next to a desert hill with copper (base yield 1 production + 2 gold). When I built a mine on that tile, the yield increased (to 2 production + 4 gold) in accord with her ability as stated. The change in yield was visible on the tile itself.

Are you using any mods? They may have intentionally or unintentionally changed how the game works.

Thank you for your interest and replies. Starting a new game today as Nubia and (hopefully will have the necessary resources near) will retest this. It could make Nubia just too powerful and with both new game RF and GS add-ons, the benefit might be nerfed.
I am playing with both R&F and GS. My recollection is that her ability also worked with just R&F before GS was released.

If the benefit was eliminated, it should not be visible when I mouse over her icon while playing R&F and GS. The description remains as it always has.

For clarity, I will repeat: Nubia's ability "Ta-seti", which provides Amanitore with +2 gold output for each mine over luxury or bonus resources (among other benefits), has not been removed or changed.

If this ability is not functioning in your games then either you have encountered some rare bug - possibly as a result of file corruption - or you are using one or more mods that are responsible.

I seem to be having trouble with Amanitore's District building. I don't see that I'm getting +20%-40% production when building Districts. Are you running into this problem too? Maybe I'm just not familiar enough with the game mechanics.

What testing have you done to determine that you are not getting the production bonus?

Tested the Nubians by mining a copper resource. Got 2 extra gold in the hex and 2 more gold in total.
