Monastery (Armagh) not granting housing (anymore?)
I'm pretty new to Civ VI, playing as spain so of course when I became suzerain of Armagh early I dropped a load of monasteries. The civ wiki says these provide +1 housing as well as +2 faith, an addition with the Gathering Storm expansion (which I have). Wiki entry link below: https://civilization.fandom.com/wiki/Monastery_(Civ6)

However my monasteries don;t seem to provide housing - only the +2 faith is listed in the description for Armagh, and on the tooltip for the monastery (as a Builder option and on the terrain tile once it is built). I also think the housing isn't being provided to the cities from their housing numbers, but I'm finding it hard to keep track of all the different housing factors (policies, buildings etc.), so I could be wrong.

I bought the Civ VI bundle with Gathering Storm, and it's definitely switched on in my playthrough (floods and volcanoes happen in-game etc.)

Does anyone know if the housing addition was removed again in one of the patches after GS came out, and the wiki not updated? Or if the housing bonus is 'invisible', so works but is not on tooltips etc?

Failing that, it's possible it could be the one mod I'm running (Historic speed), but that mod says it is compatible with Gathering Storm, and doesn't rework building effects as far as I'm aware (just research times and era scores).

Does anyone know?

The Civilopedia indeed does not say that monasteries provide housing, only faith. It also says that they provide 15HP healing to religious units. I wonder if they also shelter religious units from religious combat, as Holy Sites do, but there is no mention of that. I can't say from personal memory if they used to provide housing, but if that's your memory, they must have readjusted the bonuses. If the wiki you consulted doesn't mention the religious unit healing bonus, then I think we can safely conclude that this indeed has been a readjustment of bonuses introduced some time since you built monasteries as Spain, and since that wiki entry was written.

If you hit Toggle City Details at the left of the row of buttons over the city screen, the screen it brings up has a Citizens, Amenities, & Housing tab. The bottom third of the screen that tab brings up breaks down all the sources of housing for that city. It should clarify the housing that monasteries do or don't give.

Same issue. Not getting housing from monastery.

That's odd - since the frontiers patch I'm finding the monastery grants housing again (or at least it now says it does on the armagh city description and tooltip - I never actually checked the housing totals on my previous game, and my current game map doesn't have Armagh).
