Tip: Just stop to constantly try gaining points, you don't really need to do that. It's quite easy to get a golden age streak without worrying about era points, you gonna get them without trying. Just keep en eye on the timer. If the minimal number of turns for the era to end is getting near 10 and you still didn't guarantee a golden, then you give era points some thoughts. Most of the time you don't need to worry about it. Embrace dark ages as a good thing, considering that it has powerful policies and lead to an heroic age.
