It may be cheaper somewhere else but I really do feel like I've been shown the finger by either Firaxis or 2K and I'm pretty sure buying it from the chrono.gg site you've mentioned still supports them.

I've been a loyal Firaxis customer for a while now and I'm astonished how companies still don't understand that playing fair with their fanbase (like CD Projekt) always pays off in the long run. The price difference between the bundle and separate purchases wouldn't have been that big, but they're willing to trade those few euros for so much feel good factor.

yeah its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. im just gonna wait like another year or 2 i guess for maybe another dlc to come out and the bundle to drop more, because I ain't paying 50 dollars for basically the 2 big dlcs.

I've now removed the base game from my library allowing me to purchase platinum.

Still unnecessary tedium that would be easily avoidable.

You can still buy the Platinum Edition if you own the base game or any of the DLC. You will get a discount on all times you already own.

No you can not. If you own the base game the only option is to buy as a gift.

Nope. I understand why you say that though, that's the way it works with a lot of games here on steam. But for some reason, that's not what happens with this game.

Yes you can, because I did that myself last week when I upgraded from Civ 6 to Civ 6 Platinum.

No you did not. Quit the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. This is a well known issue with the game and in fact it's one of the things discussed in a sticky thread pinned right on top of this forum. To quote a mod on the issue:

It is simply not possible. So stop claiming it is. It's a valid critizism to raise at the publisher of this game and while complaining here on the forums probably won't change anything being in denial about the issue is even worse.

Well that's what I did. Bought Platinum and Steam gave me a discount on Civ 6 since I already had it.
