You also might want to found your own religion to get religious tourism working for you and you want to get as many wonders as possible, as they're generating tourism as well. Even if you're unable to get a religion found, don't hesitate to build some holy sides, as you can use the faith to buy great people and to get some national parks. And then also get as many seaside resorts as possible too.
And also stop the enemy from attempting a science victory by sabotaging their sky ports all the time.
And the most obvious tip: Don't win by a science victory yourself.
Faith is helpful late game to buy conservationists to found national parks for the tourism.
If you do play as Kongo and Kandy is a CS in the game do everything you can to be its suzerain, then explore as much as possible. That will get you multiple relics to stuff into your palace (Everyone else you need to build temples to accommodate more than one relic but with Kongo you can stuff 5 into the palace, feed a humungous city and disappear into the distance for tourism and faith).
