It's not a game breaking sort of bug/glitch, but it is immersion breaking, and makes the game ten times less enjoyable to play if you have no sound.
I'd suggest verify files, reinstall video and sound drivers, the usual, but I doubt it'll fix it, just seems to be Civ these days.
It's so weird, usually the music is the first to go, then it's like the sound effects are off, or eventually all sound just completely cuts out.
This is Rise and Fall specific, original Civ 6 didn't do this
need lots vid memory I think, and updated drivers. newer cards work better of course.
same after rise and fall audio broke but only ig you have ANY mods no mdos works fine any 1 mod breaks audio
