rise and fall on mac?
Just found out in another discusssion rise and fall isnt on mac. I paid for an expansion I cant use? is this true...no mac support?

Not yet.
For now, it's only available for Windows. I'm almost sure it will be released in Mac and Linux in the next weeks/months.
But you should have checked for it, before buying. In the R&F shop page, right on top of the "Add to cart" button, there are symbols of the platforms in which the item is available atm.

Solutions for your case: wait till it gets released in Mac or (not sure, but I think you can) ask for a refund on the expansion.

The pinned Official Mac thread also helps. Aspyr posted there that they aim for a release at the end of March. Keep in mind, that's aiming, not a confirmed released date.

new to steam and mac and how it operates with DLC, I figured since the game was on mac and the DLC came out ...it would have been released all together. I asked for a refund. will buy again later.

I'm on a Mac too and bought the expansion without realizing it's Windows only for now. But I guess once it'll be released I'll reseive it automatically?

Yes, once it releases for Mac it will be automatically added to your game.

I bought Civ VI through the Apple App Store, so I'm guessing Rise & Fall will show as available for purchase as an add-on when it's ready/compatible.

Yeah, but i haven't heard anything about DLC for the iPad yet.

Best to check with Aspyr directly, through their support system.

EDIT: just realised there is also a SP version for the Mac on the Apple Store.
I'd think that releases at the same time as the DLC for the Steam version.
The recommendation stays the same though :) Best to check directly with Aspyr through their support system.
