Question about factory bonus spread.
In the factory (and a few other buildings) the description says:

"Bonus is extended to all city centers within 6 tiles. This bonus applies once to a city, and multiple copies of this building within 6 tiles of a city center do not provide additional bonuses."

Does this mean if I have two city centers A and B with 7 tiles between them and I build City A's Industrial District on tile 4 between them and add a factory, that adding a factory to City B's Industrial District is a waste or does the bonus just mean that a City B can't benefit from say City C's factory which happens to also be within 6 tiles of City B's city center.

BF
A---AF---B---CF---C

A, B, C = Cities
AF, BF, CF Factories owned by respective cities.

Will B get the benefit of both BF and AF but not CF or will B only get the benefit of BF?

Each city get the bonus from one factory, they don't stack in anyway. Once a city is covered by one factory, either built on it or through regional effect, additional factories won't give you more production. If city A cover city B, a factory on city B won't give you more production, the game don't make distinction between factory built in the city and affecting the city. If you hover your mouse over the city production, you will see where the production come from. You will see that all cities have 3 production from factory regardless of how much factories cover it.

If more than one factory cover a city, you always get the production from the factory with the highest production. So a factory with increased production (there's a great engineer that add 2 production to the factory) will give increased production to all cities it cover (5 in this case).

Thanks for clarifying.

So if a city has Magnus with the Vertical Integration promotion it opens up the ability to gain bonuses from all of the industrial zones in range. That can make a real powerhouse especially if that city also has Ruhr Valley.

There are a few Great Persons that modify the above comments, but only on a limited basis. You will have to see the description for each of those Great Persons for details (they are not all the same).

When Civ 6 first came out, for several months, your Cities could get the benefit of multiple Ranged Buildings of the same type from Both Industry and Entertainment Districts, as long as the city centers were with 6 tiles (9 tiles with certain Great Persons) of the Districts' locations. This made it much easier to get large population and large production Cities. However, this got changed after about 2 months. I went from having my largest Cities (usually about 3 of them) in the 24 to 28 population range, to my largest cities being about 15 to 18 in population (maybe a little larger), with smaller productions as well. With careful planning I used to be able to get 3 to 5 Districts' Ranged Buildings benefiting a City (at the center of my empire), particularly with the special Great Persons. NO longer.
