They have other Civ franchises? Never knew. /s
IMO Civ III < Civ VI < Civ IV < Civ V < Beyond Earth < SMAC/X
But that's prolly cos I like sci-fi space themed stuff. Let's be honest, history (i.e. human civilization) is boring
Still, is Civ 6 the very worst? I'd put Colonization and Beyond Earth below any Civ game. Especially Beyond Earth. I also didn't like Alpha Centauri, but I guess some folks enjoy it.
Are you trolling?
Check out critics reviews. E.g. -> http://www.metacritic.com/game/pc/sid-meiers-alpha-centauri
SMAC/X is the highest rated Civ game by almost everyone.
Beyond Earth was widely derided but unfairly so...esp. if you compare it to the train wreck that is Civ VI
BERT is the best MP Civ. Better than Civ Rev too,
Its kind of funny because on one hand you are saying to believe the critics and to just agree with them that SMAC is a great game but at the same time you are saying That beyond earth is a good game even though the critics(and most people) say it is junk.
Remember, even critics give CoD good scores nearly every year.
I found AC to be dull and it took a very long time to process turns. The border system was innovative but really didn't work very well. The unit creation scheme was just a lot of micromanagement. The writing was derivative of much better work, especially aping Frank Herbert while missing much of his theme and subtext. And I really hated the colour palette, far too garish.
But - I don't see anybody defending Colonization. So, that's the worst Civ game, then.
Personally, I enjoyed Colonization. Wasted lots of hours on it, but looking back I get to think: man, it lacked a lot of stuff and could have been so much better.
As for the OP: this is clearly not the type of game someone like you would enjoy, you should really look for other games out there. Something more "direct to business" that doesn't force people to think through so much, maybe like Heroes of Might and Magic.
