People are pissed off in general and it's coalesced on this issue IMO.

2K cannot sell our data and it doesn't say it wants to in the EULA.

If it does it will be breach of GDPR. Also they must delete personal info of inactive users/gamers regardless of what is agreed to in the EULA :steamhappy:
Two words: Mass Hysteria.

First of all why are they even collecting all tht info anyway. This is a GAME that people paid money for why do Firaxis need to know your damn location data, purchase history, telephone number, etc?!! Its none of thier business.
If you live within the EU then GPDR means they have to get your consent to do things they previously could have done or were doing anyway. Forcing you to consent in order to play the game will almost certainly be ruled to be illegal so they are on a loser going through the EULA to get round the new regulations if that is what they are trying to do.

If you live outside the EU nothing has changed from their position, they are just spelling out what they can or may do.

Whether they do collect your data and what they might actually do with it is another question.

Its kind of funny because they have been doing it for years. How do you think the statistics(how many people play a game in different countries) were put out there? The only reason they changed the EULA is to try to comply with a new law in EU.
Something else to note, a lot of companies do the same thing.
I remember seeing the exact same topic on Bathesda forums not very long ago.

The privacy policy doesn't mean that they are collecting all that data on every game. It's a broad policy covering all Take2 (2K's parent, also parent of Rockstar) games and services. It lists all they do.

Changing the privacy policy doesn't suddenly make the game scoop up all the data it can possibly find.

There's also at least two other active threads on this; we don't need another. If you want to continue the discussion, find one of those.
