City-states next to natural wonders?
Hi friends, I understand the debate on what to do with city-states can get heated, but if I was going for a culture or religious victory, would it be worth the effort to seize city-states which spawn 1-2 spaces away from natural wonders? On the presets I like, this happens fairly frequently, last game the first 3 wonders I discovered already had city-states bordering them.
Aside from seizing it through force, is there any other way to take over a CS? Starting a whole new city just to compete for space with a CS seems like a bad way to use a natural wonder.

edit- I don't have rise/fall or gathering storm. yet.

There are certain Great People and other civ specific bonuses that allow for taking hexes from other civs, as long as your own city also boarders it.

Could try and keep an eye out for them and have one of your own cities close enough to nab it when the time comes.

There's really nothing about natural wonders that's going to make or break your game for any win condition so unless you're going for particular achievements, once you've discovered one for that early eureka they pretty much become a 'nice to have' item. At least in my book.I'd never go out of my way to take some tiles from a CS unless I had a civ that was good at annexing tiles.

I'm still new, but isn't the +4 faith fairly significant from a religious victory standpoint? Seems like it would be a decent early-game move to conquer a CS near your first wonder and build a religious district.

+2 adjacency from each tile is nice, yes, but it's not a necessity. A nice mountain range can do quite well, and just making districts and putting buildings in them will get you the faith you need (especially if there's multiple religious CSs in the game)
