Galley formation
I create an escort formation with a Galley and an archer in a city but I cannot get them to move away. I want to transport the Archer across the sea. What am I doing wrong? I was sure that worked in Civ 5.

You don't need a ship to transport units, the archer should be able to go into the sea on their own, but you need to have researched Ship Building to enable land units to enter the water.
