How do I get AI to join my war?
I have had 7 allies most of the game and 4 enemies at war most of the game. I have not a single time seen the option to ask any of my 7 allies to join my war after any of the enemies have delcared war on me. All of my allies have denounced all 4 enemies. None of them have peace treaties with any and all of the enemies. All I can do is joint war with the 3 we are at peace with for surprise attack. I just want them to help me in my wars..

There is an option to join an ongoing war. Doing so is handled through trade negotiations, so that getting someone to help you in a battle can be influenced directly by offering a payment in return. The civ that will be asked to join a war must be able to declare war on the would-be enemy in order for the option to appear.

I am not aware of any way to declare a joint war with more than two parties, or to invite more than one civ at a time to join an ongoing war. Of course you can invite multiple civs to join a war one-at-a-time once it has started, but diplomatically that isn't quite the same since some of the civs must commit to the war before others must decide.

Reread your last sentence and you'll see you've answered your own question. I hope this helps.

No it doesn't. I just want them to help me in my wars? What because it's "mine". The option existed in civ 5 and what's the point of an alliance then Mr. Expert?

Thank you, yes this is what I understand I think there is just something I'm missing that is causing them to not be able to join. It's strange that they would all not be able to join against any of the enemies. The only win option is domination, maybe that has something to do with it? Either way I will keep trying, I just got one to offer a defensive pact, but I've yet to see the join war option appear from any of my 7 allies. I'll keep playing and see

even im a bit confused myself: i think the hitch is that they must first be able to go to war themselves... isnt there a tech that allows you to declare way? doesnt language or alphabet like unlock something other than those buildings?

In order for the "Join Ongoing War" option to be available:
- The civ you're at war with, and the civ you're asking to join, must be in contact with each other.
- The civ you're at war with, and the civ you're asking to join, must not be friends, allies, or have recently signed peace with each other (ten turns on standard speed).
- You, and possibly also the civ you're asking to join, must have researched the Foreign Trade civic.

And that's it. You can see your rivals' relations with each other in the diplomacy screen, so most of this is easy to check.
