Civ 6 Expansions and Update feed back
Good day,

This message is for the devs, artist, game designer...all the people behind the creation and making of Civ 6 with all of its glorious expansions and updates, but feel free to read and comment as you wish. I feel like they might not always get recognition for their endeavors outside the franchise's success.

When Civ 5 came out, I felt that the 5th installment was the best in every possible way and yet with Civ 6 they managed to bring that to the next level. They keep making it different and great with each expansion and update. It's on pin point of the best, the apex of greatness.

I know some of you remain skeptical about Civ 6 or just prefer the previous versions, but for my PoV, I love how they revamped everything great in Civ 5 to make it even better through Civ 6 and more interesting. Then Rise and Fall came and it was amazing, the gameplay was even more challenging and interesting and then...GS came and holy cow it brings every aspect of a Civ experience to its best with loyalty add on and climates repercussion. I keep play more and more this game, I keep learning in it and discovering every Civilization and attempt mastering them but the game just keep amaze me.

A big thanks to you guys for creating one of the best game of all time and keep up the great work!

AI in 6 Kills all those other things. Its completely stupid. Other than that I like 6 with the Change one of the devs made to make it look not catooney.

an idea for a 3rd exp pack. redo the political and war mechanics.
make them significantly smarter please.
esp when you limit the victory options in the game menu.
so if you set it to domination only have the AI actually go to war.
have a refugee system for people escaping wars.
improve the system of joint war so the AI will join in a war that is already going more easily.
there are many things that can be done on these fronts. this is a very short list off the top of my head.

Upvote! Civ VI + RnR + GS is just amazing, and the past few patches have really focused and improved the game so much. I dearly hope we get a Third XP, but the game in it's current shape really is fantastic.

I think the ai has been improved markedly and more so with the latest patch. I just lost on Emperor with last patch and ai is making it harder to take their cities where once it was so easy and they are using all the systems so much better or at least in my last game they just seem tougher to get an advantage over compared to a year ago.

Its def Better but its still dumb. especially late game domination

Civ will never be a super military ai game. I have always been able to outmatch playing immortal. Civ 4 had stacks of doom that once beat, their whole country was ripe for the taking. Civ 6 suffers from same issues as 5, namely inconsistent formations. For example: They had my city walls whittled down with ranged units, but by the time they got melee units in to take it, I was able to move reinforcements in. It’s somewhat better on defence, using fighters and bombers to take out my attackers and overwhelming my anti air.

Deity game as Victoria, I got an aid request in after a Volcanic eruption, and I am amassing literally thousands of gold. Well in excess of 3/400 per turn - I am literally buying everything & producing units as fast as I can get the resources, and am about to embark on World Conquest.

I never had it happen to me before the patch - it's absolutely insane seeing literally ten times the turn amount appearing, and I cannot believe this is intentional. I have logged the bug at Civ Fanatics

While I do like most of the changes from civ 5. The AI does let down pretty much everything. Not sure if the expansion fix on that front. One can argue the AI has always been bad, but it's overall. Playing a game now with my brother. He basically had zero army for most of the game. Egypt in the middle of us, with a massive army. Threatening us most of the game. Never declare war. Well finally did near the end, by which point I had an army. It sent one wave at us both. Then just stood there while we took her 15ish cities. Never built any units to even try to defend herself, yet built settlers oddly enough.

The AI don't even kill each other. Egypt again was just planting cities everywhere. Russia sat there getting blocked in, not doing anything. That wouldn't have lasted in civ 5. Be a war in no time. So no idea why they don't war each other. Something they at least always did fine in civ 5.

Someone said around launch, they were turning the game away from anything to do with war and making it about peaceful victories. Which does seem to be the case. They seem to go really well in basically all other areas. With the expansions adding on cool little things. But from my view, hard to enjoy it, knowing I can just walk all over them.

What level are you playing on, Kamashi?
It sounds like one of the easy levels from what you describe - playing Deity it is hard not getting attacked......

Settle.... Send warrior off...Make scout.... Make Monument....Send Scout out.... Make 8 warriors in a row... At this point you are safe for half the game... On Diety

Really? I will try, but in all honesty I prefer to get at least 2 early settlers out before getting first 2 governor promotions and using Magnus with settlers not losing pop. This gives me one city to pump out settlers and 2 others to sort out infrastructure.
That said a lot has changed with the new (patch? update?) and I may well need to think again

All you have to do is stay even with their military might and they will rarely ever attack

This never happens to me. I had 3 archers, a swordsman, spearman, heavy chariot, a horse, and quietrenne all defending a walled city at a choke point and lost it. I got so far behind by building units I could not upgrade fast enough and eventually overwhelmed. Having said that, I usually win these battles.
