Gathering Storm includes Rise and Fall features?
As title says, I bought Gathering Storm because I did not necessarily like Rise and Fall, but i see things like loyalty and eras are carried over. If those are now part of the overall game, why bother buying Rise and Fall?

Well, I didn't have either one before, but now I have Gathering Storm. So basically I can save a bunch of money but not buying Rise and Fall since all of the features of it are already in Gathering Storm? I don't really care about not getting a few civs.

Unless you want the civs/wonders/scenarios then no, all the gameplay stuff comes with GS.

I'm not sure whether you would need R&F for multiplayer against others using it but that is possibly the only major issue.

If R&F is enabled in the MP game, then yes, you need it as well.
I assume because of the civ's, maps, wonders, scenario's etc that otherwise would be in the game.
