Galley/Ship Movement
Anyone having issues with weird movement of galleys/ships? I'm now in the classical era and my movement selections are severely limited around my ships at times and when I click on a distant destination to go to, the game sends it on an extremely stupid rout to get there. Could this be a mod conflict or is this something else? Thanks in advance for any help. Much appreciated.

If you don't already know, most ships can only travel in shallow/coastal tiles until you research Cartography (the research for Caravels). They are the lighter blue tiles (although sometimes it's hard to tell near the ice caps at the north/south of the map). Some civs have abilities that lets them travel in deep ocean earlier or even right at the start, but that's not normal.

If you do know that but are still seeing weird movement...it's probably just the computer doing bad pathfinding. It usually happens if you try to send them a long way but there's AI units blocking their path. It makes them kind of bug out. Only way to avoid that is to move in smaller bursts.

Thank you very much, Synavix. I was not aware of that limitation. That explains everything.
