September Update: Mods need updating
:steamfacepalm:

Just continued an ongoing game that has 50+ mods, and have realised that a lot of the mods now need to be updated.

that is for sure. I am in middle of a game, and can't get my traders to work, not sure if anything else is broken since i did not get far today, and gave up on the saved game. Hopefully, these mods will be updated soon.

Happens pretty much every time there is an update.

Yep, on every game that has input from the community.

It's just a shame that a lot of the brilliant ideas & concepts that the modders come up with aren't thought of by the game makers and introduced in the new updates. On the other hand, I have to pay tribute to the guys who made Cities: Skylines, they not only try to implement the modders ideas, but they also pay them to work for them in making the game better.

It would be great if that happened with the guys here.

It does.

To me, the modders are better than the developers at making the game better. The Civ 5 Communuity Patch is one example, and for Civ 4, Realism Invictus.

The modders for Civ 6 are the only reasons why I am giving this game a chance after what I think, even with two expansions, is a sub-par game in relation to the rest of the franchise (minus BE of course, which was god awful.)

There used to be a legacy branch, specifically to keep the last update until mods were updated.

Isn't that still maintained?
I think the password for it was "ineedlegacyaccess". Has anyone tried that?

I just looked, it is not currently listed. So the devs would need to set that back up again. My guess is they removed it at some time frame after the previous patch so that people wouldn't stay on it forever.

You would need to enter the passkey before it's listed, going by how Steam betas generally work...

Ah! You are right, never realized it worked that way. Thought that was a way to enter a password for an already visible selection.

I'll give it a try and see if it changes the build #.

edit: That brings the game back to version 1.0.0.328 (426563)

I don't remember if that is the June patch or the version prior to that.

I believe that is indeed the June patch. Where do you type in this password, however? I don't remember seeing any log-in screen...

Go to your Steam library
Right click on Civ VI in the games list and select "properties"
Go to the "betas" tab in the window that opened
Once on that page, type in the "ineedlegacyaccess" that Donald mentioned
Click "check code", you should have a new item in the drop down list

Glad you got it!

If you get a chance, could you please confirm whether that is 100% indeed the June patch.
