Wish I had taken some screenshots, but if my memory serves me right there were considerable less Civ 5 players just 2 months ago. At the time Civilization 6 was like 3rd most played game on steam. Someone with steamspy account can check the exact numbers. Right now 45,653 is playing Civ 5 and 40,009 is playing Civ 6. Of course some people have just bought Civ 5 and that way bringing player base up, but I feel like many hardcore gamers took a U-turn.
But back to my point with this post:
I just checked the Steam stats, where you can see the top 100 games on Steam right now. And yes, Civ VI are in the top 100. But, here is the interesting thing: The number of current players, at this moment, now says:
45,381 Sid Meier's Civilization V
38,484 Sid Meier's Civilization VI
I've tracked the numbers for some time. And this is the first time, where Civ V actually outpace Civ VI!
That's pretty bad! I don't think it's normal for a predecessor to outpace the latest release of a game.
Having the same problems that they allready fixed on civ v is mind boggling.
