Why so many female civ leaders?
Is it for the sake of having female leaders in the game?

Like most of them are negligible when there are so many more noteable male leaders in history.

Why not Charlemange for France or Alfred the Great for England?

Instead they throw on 2 female leaders for both civs just because they were women that held power for a time. Doesn't seem to matter if they accomplished anything at all.

Who gives a flying f***? These leaders are mostly different to previous civ games and other strat games. Gotta do something different

Its PC. Its why they have to pick the most obscure female leaders in history just so they can have a female leader.

If it was reversed, would you ask "why so many male leaders"?

Edit:
Total number of leaders: 21
number of female leaders: 6

Yeah, they've obviously gone tooootally over board with their political correctness.

No because as much as people want to try and argue against fact that the majority of history was made by men. for every 1 female historical person you can name 100 more male. Not a knock just cold hard facts. The new polish leader is lame and boring compared t the countless of other polish leaders they could have used but for whatever reason did not.

Obvious troll is obvious.

It's to trigger unsecure males that don't believe that there were female leaders in history.

Or....they are game-designers and they like to spice things up and experiment with concepts. They are also sellers of a product and that might make them think that they can reach a bigger audience if the mix it more.
Both those last suggestions are plausible and should not surprise anyone that live today.

Stop bashing the saint! I already said, but Thor will smite you! (Or was Zeus? I keep mixing them).

But seriously, having female leaders is great. Too many males is boring and... I don't know how to say in english but... mucho olor a huevo. :ralphhurt:

I would agree that adding female leaders opens up a substantial market. But I don't care for that and wish they would have stuck with the traditional leaders they have used in the past but oh well I guess.
