Report a translation problem
Invade - delete - rebuild how I like it and not the messy AI builds - repeat.
The steps you need to take to do this:
1 - Locate the file here somewhere:
\Steam\SteamApps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Base\Assets\Gameplay\Data\GlobalParameters
2 - Locate this entry and change it to true:
<Replace Name="COMBAT_RAZE_ANY_CITY" Value="false" />
3 - Save file and close it.
4 - Load up game and enjoy!
This will also apply to city states (although I think we could already raze them anyway?) so be careful if you liberate them and want to keep them around for their bonuses.
Nah it's fine, I used to use this ages ago when I heavily edited my files. The next city they own becomes their capital as usual. And if you raze their very last city it is no different to just capturing it and keeping it winning wise.
With regards to liberating civs remember that you get the option if you want to raze or not, its not something that just happens. The AI usually don't raze big cities so most normal capitals are safe from them razing them too.
Lastly, since this is not an actual "mod" you can undo the change at any time if you find something does go wrong. So you can revert back to an earlier save (and un-do the change) if a city you do want to keep gets razed for whatever reason. Unike mods which you can't turn on and off without starting a new game.

Yeh it doesn't really make sense, you cap a cap, give it back and you can't redo your old cap into a new cap, it's just a city.. so for domination, surely holding the "last" city of every tribe should be the condition, not capturing "a" city from every civ.
