Just wasted my sunday on your stupid tutorial
First bit where there's all the dialog etc. is great and you think from that, that it is worth going on with it. Then I find out you can't save the tutorial. I don't realize there's only one other gimped civ on the map so it seems daunting to have to play a full game in one sitting. Ok that stinks but I'll deal with it I want to learn everything that tutorial lady has to tell me about the game. She suggests she'll be given suggestions throughout the rest of the tutorial so I'll do the whole thing in one go.
After maybe 100 turns I start to realize cleopatra is probably the only other civ there but I can't declare war on her without getting some kind of penalty that is marked as 'egregious'. Really, 'egregious'; using 'egresious' to mark the severity of a penalty in a computer game I would call egregious. Anyway, I don't know what the penalty entails and I can't find it anywhere so I assume it's bad and I'm not supposed to declare war under those circumstances. I try to get Cleo to declare war by standing at her border with an army and building a city right against her border but nothing.
So I assume it's going to work itself out. Maybe I get some more diplomatic 'tech' or something that enables me to declare war without penalty. I dunno. So after playing and playing I'm going over 200 turns and I notice there's a turn limit of 330. So I figure if I can't declare war or she doesn't declare war I'll just go for the 330 turns. Suffice to say things get pretty retarded when you're coming up to the 300 mark (won't get into that cause this is already a wall of text).
So finally Sunday evening I reach turn 330 and guess what? Game just plays on. It did say, 'Only 4 turns left' or something like that at turn 326 but at turn 330 it goes on to turn 331 and so on.

So that pisses me off. But ok so I have to completely wipe her off the map. Still can't declare war on her without a big penalty (I tried the 'denounce' thing and wait 5 turns but the lesser penalty CB's are still disabled??? WTF). So, alright I'm irritated now I want this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ tutorial done with so I decide to just declare war against 'severe' penalties.

So I move my units into egypt and all that is there is one or to ancient era warrior units and a crossbow unit or something and a load of missionaries or whatever they are???? No, interesting battle, nothing. So for my own satisfaction I take the cities and Cleopatra is completely gone. Guess what? Game simply plays on??? OH ♥♥♥♥ you fireaxis. Then I try to quit the game and the window just hangs, I can't quit it. It just sits there; had to alt-tab out of it and kill it with the task-manager.

Wow, the tutorial really made me 'exited' about this game (those little dashes around 'exited' are sarcastic quotes by the way). Oh yeah that retarded auto jumping back and forth between units that have no orders is super irritating by the way. I could go on about that and how it's just a mess to get some sense about what units are where especially with generals chained to units, etc. and that stupid transparent disabled look of the player's unit icons. All kinds of little but really annoying bugs like the map panning when you don't have any buttons pressed or refusing to drag or whatever.

Jezus christ this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ annoying.

A) You're complaining that a tutorial is not a full featured game. Newsflash- a tutorial is not supposed to be a full featured game.

B) warmonger penalties only apply to diplomacy and only matter when there's more than one other civ on the map. Obviously they person you're going to war against is going to be mad that you went to war.

C) the ending and being forced to force quit the game are the only thing you have a point about.

I don't care about what you think the definition of 'tutorial' is. Oh, this just came in: NEWS-FLASH: It HAS been established that the CIV 6 tutorial after the first bit... IS... IN FACT...CRAPOLA.

B) Well maybe the should tell me something about it in the tutorial. How am I supposed to even know there's only one civ on the map.

G) Thanks for reading and responding anyway.

Warmonger also affects trying to win by culture indirectly.

If not going for culture, you can ignore warmonger. Its a broken system where defending yourself gets you penalized.

Try a normal game before you delete. Honestly, the game has a fair number of terrible problems, but you can't really experiece it properly in the tutorial. You have some time to return the thing, so best to try a normal game to see if you want to keep it or not.

Yeah skip the tutorial. I started it and dicovered you can't save it. Part of the game is exploring the map. So in games you don't know where you opponents are. You know how many civs there are because of game set-up. So unless you customize your paticular game-random default setting, you don't know who or where your opponent is.
I also recomend not playing on settler, but the level above it first-apparently a bug in the settler mode.

Hey! am busy as China on prince level (that was the default I think) maybe it's too hard for me 'cause I got my ass handed to me by England several times and had to go back to a prior save. But after I put some archers at good locations she all of a sudden wanted peace and agreed to pay me some gold for 30 turns. Heh, she's moving troops around my borders again though.
