Can the AI take cities?
I've noticed after playing for months now even on deity, the AI have NEVER ONCE taken one of my cities. I barely ever win on diety but its because I am out done in science or religion never beaten by Domination. Am I just extremly lucky or have other people noticed the AI is to dumb to conquer you

I have never even tried deity (yet). But on emperor difficulty I have indeed noticed that after the AI has almost destroyed my city, they tend to back off a little and let the city be and rather focus on destroying my units. However I do not know if they would take the cities if I had let them destroy my whole army.

I have never lost a *WALLED* city to an AI. I have lost a few tiny cities to well-equipped city state armies. I normally play on Emperor, but have played higher difficulties as well. AI just does not seem smart enough to bring and use siege or support units.

same here. once walled.. almost impossible. i too have lost non walled cities. i have also lost a damaged walled city to a nuke followed by an attack, but only once. i have seen countless walled and non walled city states captured and actually look for the civs that do that. easy casus belli target and easy sue for peace without warmonger penalty.

the ai tends to denounce and pillage.. more than aggressively pursue human captures. at least in my experience.

all the best.

I have never seen an AI using nukes, which is good I guess haha. I have one question, can city states actually capture cities? I mainly mean those city states focused on military.

I never lost walled city too, also i never see AI using nukes..What i really liked in the CIV4,that in game was possible to create huge world wars with nukes (thanks for vassal system, many nation were involved in these wars..)

Once last night Australia took a walled city from me after a surprise attack but it took a long time and about 8 units.

I've lost cities to the AI on King and above, but can't remember if they've had walls. They've never been especially smart about it, just had a lot of units and very occasionally they attacked together instead of their usual approach of sending them at you one at a time carrying little presents of XP.

I agree with you guys. It does seem like thr AI always comes in gets it down really low, pillages , then leaves.

i have seen city states take AI cities.. but only with my help. that being with my assistance, not actually paying to take over the city states units for 30 turns. in every case where the city state that i was suzerain of, once the city state captured the city.. it was immediatly razed. i have never seen a city state take an AI capital. not sure what would happen in that case, as capitals cannot be razed.

as for the nuke. yeah, it was quite surprising, not that Rome used the nuke, (nukes happen in my games from King and higher depending on how quick they tech), but that they actually attacked after they nuked. moving into fallout and taking damage to easily capture the city. pretty cool. i have also witnessed AI nuking each other. almost every turn hearing the nuke action sound can be get annoying, as they tend to spam them on the same city.

The AI can't find its own butt.
Same goes for the Devs obviously.

In my first game ever, I was France and I lost 2 cities to the Germans, without giving them to them via peace deal. Admittedly I wasn't good at all, but they still legitimately took them.

You should consider lowering the amount of period used in your text. CIV 6 is a great game but it has got it's flaws which suck, but mods do fix some problems!

Also I think the flaws are minor, and Civ V had some flaws too, of course.
