Denounced?

Hello!
Every time i start a new game, after a few turns of finding a civilization i am being denounced. No explanation that i can think of. Do note that this is all taking place in the ancient era. When i purchased the game 6+ months ago this wasn't the case.

Did the update change anything? Because this is all i am seeing from other civilizations.

All civs have 2 specific agendas. The hidden one is not always the same.
When you first meet another civ, you will be doing something that annoys them :p.

It's perfectly normal if you meet 5 new civs, and 4 get angry at you right away. One likes you because you smell good...or something.

Are they actually denouncing you, or just mocking/complaining? There's a difference. It's very, very clear when they actually denounce you.

When you start a new game and run into your first civ....it's not uncommon for them to decide in a few turns that they hate you, and want your city

Thats ok, i hate them too and i want their city. I just wait for them to make that first settler before attacking though so i basically get 2 cities.

Try on Emporer. All AI starts with 2 settlers, 2 warriors and a builder. ;)

Hi! Thank you for your responses everybody.

@Kurnn I've thought from the start that i might've been doing something to annoy the AI or something, however, in every game since the new update every Civ is getting denounced, not just me. - Thank your for the reponse!

@SamBC They are denouncing me, i've taken an screenshot and put it onto imgur to show that every civ has denounced me. When i met my first civ in my current game, i gave them all the luxury resources/gold/gold per turn as a little experiment. However, not even 10 turns later i am being denounced.

They will denounce you if they get annoyed at you. That's as it should ^^.

Each civ have a visual personality and a hidden agenda. Find out what they are and you can work on them liking you.

Having a stronger military then them, helps 99% of the time......unless its norway, they just attack anyway!

Those mods works. I am unsure about the "Right click close leader". Dont know it.

I mean, it's possible to everyone denouncing you that early, through a combination of doing thrings that they reasonably get annoyed by, and having bad luck in terms of their hidden agendas.

Haha, I have had the same problem. Spouse must always be top priority!
