How to rush Chichen Itza
Chichen Itza is a SUPER OP wonder in civ 6, especially for jungle based civs such as Kongo and Brazil. However, it's nearly impossible to rush Chichen Itza... whenever I finished researching guild some AI already finished it and I looked at their city they don't even need it since they only have 2 or 3 jungle tiles in that city which really drives me banana... Are there any tips on how to rush Chichen Itza on a difficulty of King or above?

I'll be intersted to find this out as well. Great Engineers are pretty underwhelming in this game to me, especially as I'm someone who's familiar with their awesome ability in Civ 5.

It's not the problem with your city's production. You don't even get the chance to build it since whenever you finish that tech someone already completed that wonder. It's the fact that how did AI overwhelmed you on the civic tree progression. In my scenario, all my cities have monuments, and I have the plantation +1 culture pantheon and I also got bunch of improved banana, spice, silk tiles inside my territory. I just don't understand how did the AI still managed to beat me based on the amount of culture I'm producing

Great Engineers may be underwhelming but they're still the best way to finish a Wonder quickly... usually in 2 turns. If you want to beat the AI to it, you need to get lots of Culture early so you can beeline the Guild Civic.

I understand where you're coming from completely. I feel like I'm getting a handle on the game pretty well except for culture which I seem to be completely lost at. I've gotten some advice on things to do but it hasns't seemed to help much, maybe I just should steamroll everyone in domination from here on out.

Don't bother above Emperor. It goes like way before you research guilds on Deity and I've seen AI build it in a city with just one jungle tile. They build it just so you can't; that or they're just stupid, or both.

On Emperor you will need to prioritize theatre square districts and earn great writers to boost culture output.

Kongo, Russia, Greece, Brazil and Japan are prime candidates.

Kongo with Divine Spark, Oracle and 3 theatre square districts should nab 2 or 3 great writers by the time guilds is researched.

Russia is probably the 1st Civ to acquire Great Artists/Writers/Musicians with the Lavra's bonus.

Greece and Japan build their theatre square districts in half the time.

Brazil can potentially get up to +6 Culture from a well placed theatre square district. That's a very large boost early on.

If you ask me though it really isn't that good because you have to sacrifice production to keep jungles and production really is too important to lose.

I'm thinking about those jungles you don't chop such as bananas, diamonds, spices etc

And how many of those would you have in your City? Many Jungle tiles appear on flat land and those tiles should never be worked at the cost of mining. Diamonds and Strategic Mines are an exception but they are also rare. I don't ever work other Jungle Luxuries unless they're on a hill and I have no more mines to work on. That's how important production is. (The result of Population Cap which makes working food tiles quite useless when you're at the cap.)

A City would probably have to work over a dozen Jungle Hills to make the Culture gain more viable than the Production loss.

I have tried specifically targeting it but still get beaten to it. The AI always seems to prioritize it.

You need to prioritize building monuments in your cities and I highly recommend building a 5-7 city Coliseum to help you with culture

Did you know if you raze the city that built a wonder, you can build it again. I've seen this for the Pyramids at least :steamhappy:
