Is Civ VI worth it during the Summer Sale
Right now, Civ VI is on sale for $35 and I was contemplating buying it. In it's current state, would you reccomend I buy it now?

Nope. Don't touch it with a barge pole. Wait until it's near the same price as the other civ games.

So would you reccomend I just buy Civ V: Complete Edition instead?

Definately. Civ5 in its complete state is the best Civ game ever made, it's dirt cheap, and relatively speaking it could be considerd graphically better (or worse) than Civ6 depending on your aesthetic proclivity. Couldn't recommend it enough.

I have played all the civ games, been playing for years. I could not agree with Psychedelic Adventurer more. Civ VI is absolute crap, Civ V is the way to go. I would not recomeend Civ VI at any price at all period. Civ V however is great. Thats just my opinion though, maybe you could try a demo.

Civ 6 isn't "absoulte crap" like the others are saying. Just watch some gameplays and reviews of the two games and decide which one you like more. Keep in mind that Civ 5 has been out longer than Civ 6.

the problem i am having while deciding whether to buy Civ 6 is that Firaxis is adding new stuff but the notes dont tell me they are fixing the stuff everyone is complaining about

They'll probably fix a huge amount of them when the expansion comes out. Just like they did with Civ 5.

I never said it was terrible. However, why buy an inferior game, especially if it's his first outing, over a far more complete experience.

Better to wait until civ 6 is patched and expanded to a reasonable degree before he buys it.

Waoh such a good deal
see you in 2 more years, when this game is at the price it deserves (12 or less)

I'm pretty sure you will. Though, it's better if you play with friends.

I have Civ 5 but no DLC. So, it wouldn't be my first experience with Civ. I also tried Civ 6 demo and i liked it, but the only reason im considering it is for TR, Peter the Great and the districts.

It's a good game if you are new to Civ games, but not new to 4x games. I tried the Civ 5 demo, didn't like it, tried 6 and did. I felt it was worth the money, but that's just me. I'm not going to wait two more years to buy since by then I will most likley have other games on my buy list.

I came here as well to see if it's "worth it" now. Surprised to read a lot of complaints haven't been addressed yet. That said, I am surprised by this statement.

So what if Civ 5 has been out longer than Civ 6. Just becuase Civ 5 is out longer, does that make it better? If anything, since Civ V has been out longer you would think Firaxis would have learned from Civ V and Civ VI should have been better. So how come Civ VI is worse than Civ V for you to say that Civ V was out longer?
