Conquests of Alexander
How are you guys faring on this scenario? I can't seem to conquer more than two-thirds of the map on Emperor before it's over.

Not any better on Deity. Best i got so far was 13 cities left.

It probably has a lot to do with how you use a paticular map.

Wait you don't have to conquer the whole map?

Edit: The instructions to the scenario say that you do have to take all of the cities.

TsurugiNoba, to win the scenario you have to conquer all cities, but to win the achivement you have to conquer and/or build at least 40 cities (to have 200 points)... I didn't win the scenario/achivement but I think that's how it works

You have to conquer all the cities before the turn limit or you dont win, use the roads to move your units fast and spsm with hyapists

Right. I want to conquer all of the cities. I feel like there's specific ways that I must move though. I often get caught up for 3-5 turns just trying to push through a wave of units.

And how do you guys tackle the branch off into the North African cities, Memphis and Thebes? I usually use my coastal cities to create Quadriemes and bombard them and only bring a few land units down.

I'm only in my first playthrough of the scenario. For Memphis and Thebes I split off a small contingent, including Alexander (for the Pyramids).

I don't have many turns left though, and I still need to get those last two City States... I don't think I have enough time to get through all their Horsemen and Varus.

Does anyone have any idea how you capture the unique units for the Resplendent Panopoly? I can't seem to discern any rhyme or reason to it.

Found it, it's in the victory conditions and what you have to do (for anyone wondering) is conquer a capital city, or a city with a wonder, when Alexander is within a tile.

Yeah, I can't see myself completing those last two city states either...By the time I get there, the amount of Horsemen and Varus are insane.
