I would love Team play in Singleplayer, it was in Civ 5 but I guess we're going to have to wait another 2-3 months before anything else happens. At least the Multiplayer Teams happen because a lot of people wanted that stuff in the game.
But there is a way to create a game with a team and play it in a single player game, and it is much simpler than it looks!
1- go to "Multiplayer" then "Hot Seat" (it works also if you create as a LAN or Internet game).
2- create your game and set up the civ(s) teaming with you
3- save it with a name you can recall (ex: TEST mp to single with 1 team.Civ6Save)
4- exit Civ6 (not Alt+Tab, except if you really have a stable ram/system), and go where the file is saved : "(user)\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Saves\Hotseat"
5- find the file and copy it to the folder "(user)\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization VI\Saves\Single"
6- launch Civ6, then "Single" and "load a game" : open the file in it and play with a team...
(edit> August 2023, and still not possible ... sigh ...)
I whould recommend hot seat because hot seats allows to recreate map (with same settings, same random civs)
