"For Queen and Country" Achievement

I'm trying to figure out why I didn't earn this Achievement on a recent game. I did a huge inland sea map, as England. I found 5 continents. I put a city on each one, and waited several turns - and I never got the achievement. Any ideas what I might have missed? I'm working my way through the achievements list and this one seemed easy, but I can't figure out what I did wrong.

Well that's wierd the strangest part for me is I got this achievement on Duel for Victoria and I only settled two cities. I'm not sure if I can help you are not, For Civ 5 my achievements stopped for some reason after I got the 21st achievement.

you put a city on 5 continents- is that all of the continents there are or did you miss one (or more)

This achievement was broken. I got it and I've never played a Huge map (cos I'm on a 2012 11" MacBook Air).

Maybe they fixed it

I got that achievement fine. I was on a huge island plates map, I founded cities on every continent, and it unlocked very quickly. That was back in December.

Search for continents. When I did it there was a continent that was in the tundra at the birth of the map. It was about 4 tiles high and 7 wide, and all snow. It can be hard to find continents sometimes

There should be a map filter you can select on the bottom-left of the screen that shows an overlay of all the different continents. I've found in a previous game that there could be 2 continents on one land mass, but that may have been a bug. But check out that overlay filter for continents and see if there's a hidden continent somewhere.

2 continents on one landmass is not a bug at all. Look at Eurasia in the real world - we consider it at least two continents. Then Africa is also connected by land, albeit a fairly narrow bit. Same for the continental Americas.
