Deluxe Worth it?
Does the deluxe basically a season pass where you get all the DLC that came out and will come out? It's only 13 bucks more with the sale price...

No, not all. Only the The current DLC+the next combo pack of DLC will be added in the deluxe.

And not sure if its worth it to you. If you want more Civs+Scenarios the deluxe will have them at a discounted rate compared to buying seperate.

so its the current DLC plus another set of whats available or one more scenario. Right now its 23 dollars for the DLC...So how much more money wise will bome with the deluxe..and are these scenario packs good?

The first 6 DLC will be included. Currently 4 are released. The last two are yet to be released or announced. It's just announced that the next two DLC will be Civ&Scenario packs and that they will be additionally included in the DDE.

The content and price of those DLC will (based on the past) be in the same range as the Australia DLC and the Persia&Macedon DLC. So you can create a worst case scenario and a best case scenario on what will be included.

For me, the scenarios are fun to play. I really like the Australia one and the Alexander scenario. The viking scenario is fun to play every now and then too.
But that's highly subjective, there are plenty of people here that think scenario's are a waste of their time.

So essentially if I buy the deluxe edition, since it's 13 bucks more, I wil be getting 34 dollars worth of DLC for 13 bucks? Sounds like a fair deal...

I read some reviews It sounds like people like the content but are pissed off at the price, or lack of content. Would that be a fair assesment? So getting it all for 13 bucks, would make it worth it then?

Those reviews are most likely from before the announcement to include two more dlc in the DDE.

Up until last week, all the currently released dlc was part of the DDE and nothing more. Then the announcement came that 2K heard the complaints and decided to add the next two dlc in with the DDE as well.

So, to me, it's very easy worth it now.

Also, some people didn't read, understand or believe the description of what the DLC that would be part of the DDE would be, and thought they'd be getting full expansions. The store page has always said the DDE DLC would provide maps, scenarios, civs and leaders.

Moat of the intial compliants about DDE were about saving next to nothing like 50p. The viking scenario pack made it clear there was little benifit in savings and if you pre ordered the DDE then they had all that cash for a long time. You showed loyalty and support and It felt like a rip off.

Got it...so at 13 dollars you would all say it's definitely worth it? What are the scenarios exactly? Do they follow a story and objectives? Is it linear? Or is it that you just get to unlock the vikings, persians and etc for the regular single player games?

Yes, with the new revision/addition to the DDE, it is worth it... so long as you want all the civs. I BELIEVE several new city states/wonders are tied to them as well, but unsure since I dont have the base game.

Yes, I do not have the exact numbers, but with several of the DLC came also new City States (which each have their own bonus!) and new Natural Wonders.

Yes, definitely worth it (for me).
A scenario is generally with Civ a smaller game then the regular game that features one or more of the Civilizations that come in the same pack. It's completely optional (you can play Macedon just fine without playing the Alexander the Great scenario). They just offer a different challenge. With the Australian Scenario for example, there is no combat what so ever, it provides the challenge of hitting a certain treshold of income to win. The higher the difficulty, the higher the treshold.

Funny how that works.

To all those people who tell complainers to "GTFO..."

Now they know why we complain.

I think it was especially the people who complained with clear and reasonable arguments about things that were reasonably objective, without getting abusive, that got the message across.
